Dave Long Coach Travel (www.davelongcoachtravel.ie), a privately owned company, trades as “West Cork Coaches” and “WCC Group”. Our principal address is West Cork Coaches, Curragh, Skibbereen, Co. Cork, Ireland, P81 W685. 

In the Privacy Policy that follows, the terms “the site” and “our site” refer to westcorkcoaches.ie,  while “we”, “us”, “our” and  “ourselves” refer to West Cork Coaches. The terms “you”, “your” and “yourself” refer to you as a user or visitor to our site or as a user, customer, client or passenger of our transport services. The term “personal data” refers to all information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (hereinafter referred to as “data subject”); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or one or more specific characteristics expressing the physical, physiological, genetic, psychological, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person, as set out in the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).   • Usage data: such as your IP address, geographical location, browser type and version, operating system, referral source, length of visit, page views and site navigation paths, as well as information about the timing, frequency and pattern of your service use. The source of the usage data is the Google Analytics tracking system. This usage data may be processed for the purposes of analyzing the use of the site. The legal basis for this processing is for the purposes of monitoring and improving our site.
  • Notification data: such as your email address, your preferences and other information that you provide to us for the purpose of subscribing to our email notifications, mailing lists or newsletters, to notify you about our services and special offers, to notify you about important functionality changes to our site, and when you enter our competitions. The legal basis for this is your consent.

We process and use the information we collect in various ways. In addition, we may also collect, hold and use your personal data for the following:

  • Delivery of our services: when you use our site and services and subscribe to the West Cork Coaches newsletter, you accept our Terms of Service and thus enter into a contract. For us to fulfil our obligations under that agreement, we need to access and process your personal information; otherwise, we will not be able to provide our services. We may also use the information you provide to help us improve, operate and enhance the user experience on our site, to tailor advertisements, content and other aspects of your experience on and in connection with our site, for other administrative purposes, to prevent or detect abuses of our terms of use, and to enable third parties to carry out technical improvements or other functions on our behalf.

The processing of your personal data for feedback processing is based on Art. 6, para. 1, d) or f) of the GDPR.

7. Data Retention

For the sake of the GDPR, we are entitled to keep your personal information only for as long as we need it for legitimate business purposes and as required by applicable law. We will take reasonable steps to erase any data that we hold from you where:

  • we no longer need the data for the purposes for which it was collected, and we are not otherwise entitled to retain such data;
  • we are not required or obligated by law, regulation or court order to retain the information.

If certain information has been provided to third parties in accordance with this Privacy Policy, retention of that information will be subject to the policies of the relevant third party.

8. Children

We comply with the Children Privacy Protection policy. Hence, our services are not directed to children under the age of 16. For this reason, we do not provide nor knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16. If you believe that a child under the age of 16 has used our services, please contact us and we will delete that information immediately.

We have put in place numerous technical, organizational and physical safeguards and measures designed to protect the personal information of users. However, no online security measures are guaranteed. You agree that your use of our site is at your own risk.

All suspicious computer/device mischief will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
